THE METHOD / FROM IDEA TO FIRST OFFER
Seven stages.
A clearer next step.
From the problem worth investigating to the offer worth testing. A route through the work, not a shortcut around it.
- 01
IDEA
Write a specific problem statement and identify who experiences it.
- 02
VALIDATE
Plan a bounded test; record observations separately from assumptions.
- 03
PLAN
Cut the first-version scope and write a build brief with exclusions.
- 04
BUILD
Break the work into small changes and record expected versus actual test results.
- 05
SECURE
Identify applicable security checks and record evidence, unknowns and blockers.
- 06
LAUNCH
Draft an offer and price; review the customer journey and launch checklist.
- 07
SELL
Plan a first-customer experiment, record responses and review the economics.
These are learning activities, not promises of completed software, security certification or paying customers.

Playbook
Know what to do next.
Understand the decision behind each stage, then use the linked Workbook tasks to put it into practice—from investigating a problem to planning your first customer experiment.
The API Reality Check separates documentation, account access, permission, working functionality and cost.
Workbook Print/Write
Put your thinking on paper.
Write down your problem, assumptions, evidence and next actions. Print, write by hand or annotate, then return to your notes as you make decisions.
Choose this edition when handwriting helps you slow down and make a decision.
Workbook Digital
Keep your decisions in one working file.
Complete the same core exercises in a fillable PDF, keeping notes and decisions together. Use a compatible reader and save a local copy regularly.
Static page preview; PDF-reader behavior varies. Save locally and regularly. Longer answers can remain stored in scrolling fields while printing shows only the visible portion.
Prompt Library
Ask AI about the task in front of you.
Use task-based prompts to clarify a problem, challenge a plan or review evidence. Add your inputs, check the response and return to the Workbook.
Clarify My Problem connects your starting idea to a specific problem. Shown here: the opening page of the prompt.
AI Toolbox
Find a route that fits your next task.
Compare builder routes, alternatives and caveats before adding a tool. Start with capabilities you already have; check current access and pricing before paying.
Start Here distinguishes beginner and AI-assisted builder routes. You do not need a subscription to every listed tool.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
A few useful answers.
What exactly am I buying?
Five English-language PDFs: Playbook, Workbook Print/Write, Workbook Digital, Prompt Library and AI Toolbox. Both Workbook editions contain the same core content. This is a self-directed PDF kit, not a video course or hosted app. The Calculator is separate and public.
The Digital Workbook requires a compatible PDF reader. Save a local working copy and save regularly. Longer answers may remain stored in scrolling fields while printing shows only the visible portion.
Can I start as a beginner?
Yes, if you are willing to investigate a problem, learn unfamiliar concepts and check your work. The kit starts with your idea and decisions; it does not remove the learning or effort involved.
Do I need coding experience?
You can begin with the problem, customer and validation work before writing code. The Playbook explains core concepts, but building still requires reviewing AI outputs, testing behavior and getting qualified help when needed.
Which AI tools can I use?
Run the prompts in your preferred general-purpose AI assistant. The Toolbox describes different builder routes; choose tools for your task and available capabilities. Identical results or compatibility with every tool are not guaranteed.
Is USD 29 the full cost of building a SaaS?
USD 29 is the one-time kit price, not the total cost of running a SaaS. AI tools, hosting, APIs and other services may cost extra. Use free or included capabilities where sufficient and check costs before committing.
Can I use the Calculator without buying?
Yes. The free Economics Calculator runs in your browser at mysaasproject.com/calculator and is separate from the five PDFs. It models estimates from your inputs; it does not validate demand or guarantee profitability.
What should I realistically expect?
Expect a structured way to investigate an idea, record decisions and plan/check your work. You perform the tasks and real-world tests; revising or stopping an idea can be a valid outcome. Working software, sales and income are not guaranteed.
